Deburr Technician - OMAX Machine Shop Hypertherm’s OMAX Waterjet team in Kent, WA is seeking a detail oriented Deburr Technician to ensure precision-machined components meet established quality and finish requirements. This is a hands-on manufacturing role for someone who takes pride in detailed work, follows established processes, and contributes to a safe, clean, and efficient machine-shop environment. In this role, you will perform manual and machine-assisted deburring, cleaning, and finishing of precision-machined components using drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. You will inspect completed work, verify part identity and quantities, protect critical part features, and recognize when an issue should be stopped or escalated. You will also support production flow by cleaning machines and work areas, maintaining tools and equipment, participating in first-piece or process checks, and communicating safety, quality, or production concerns. Required Knowledge, Skills, Education and Experience: 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, work instructions, finish requirements, edge-break requirements, and tolerances Working knowledge of deburring methods and the ability to safely use appropriate hand tools, power tools, abrasives, fixtures, and finishing equipment Ability to recognize conditions that could affect dimensional accuracy or surface quality while protecting critical dimensions, threads, and finished surface Ability to use appropriate measuring and inspection equipment, which may include calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, or comparison standards Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify routine process issues and work safely while meeting quality, productivity, and delivery expectations Preferred experience that sets you apart: Previous experience in manufacturing, a machine shop, metal finishing, inspection, or a related production environment CNC machine-shop experience, including exposure to precision-machined components Experience deburring a variety of materials, including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and brass Hands-on experience with deburring and finishing tools such as files, scrapers, abrasive pads, rotary tools, grinders, belt sanders, deburring wheels, tumblers, or part-washing equipment Familiarity with blueprint reading, surface-finishing requirements, and precision measurement tools Experience in a lean manufacturing environment Experience with manufacturing production or ERP systems Location: Kent, WA Additional benefits in joining Hypertherm Associates: Collaborative, 100% employee-owned culture No-layoff philosophy, lasting almost 60 years Profit-Sharing and Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP)  Five days/year paid Community Service Time  Strong commitment to Environmental Stewardship Sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.
