The Operations Coordinator supports day-to-day manufacturing operations by providing ownership and coordination of workforce planning, timekeeping, scheduling, and operational workforce administration. This role serves as a key link between Operations, Human Resources, and Payroll to ensure staffing plans are accurate, employee time is properly maintained, and leaders have clear visibility to workforce needs. The Operations Coordinator helps bring greater discipline and consistency to how the operation manages staffing, schedules, timecards, overtime, attendance, and workforce data. Key Responsibilities: Own the daily administration and review of employee timecards, ensuring hours, punches, schedules, overtime, and exceptions are accurate and addressed in a timely manner. Partner with frontline leaders to resolve missing punches, timecard discrepancies, schedule changes, and other timekeeping issues prior to payroll deadlines. Maintain visibility to staffing by department, shift, and skill or capability to identify workforce gaps before they impact operations. Partner with Operations leadership to develop staffing plans that align labor resources with production demand. Track and report workforce metrics, including headcount, vacancies, absenteeism, attendance, overtime, staffing levels, and schedule adherence. Support overtime planning and allocation to ensure appropriate coverage while helping Operations manage labor costs. Coordinate employee schedules, shift assignments, transfers, and other workforce movements in partnership with Operations and Human Resources. Maintain accurate workforce rosters and staffing information. Identify recurring workforce or timekeeping issues and work with leaders to improve processes and accountability. Provide Operations leadership with regular workforce reporting and highlight areas requiring action. Serve as the primary operational point of coordination between Operations, Human Resources, and Payroll for workforce administration and timekeeping. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workforce utilization, scheduling, labor planning, and administrative processes. Qualifications: 2-4 years of experience in operations coordination, manufacturing administration, workforce planning, scheduling, payroll or timekeeping, or a related field. Experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment is strongly preferred. Experience with timekeeping or workforce management systems such as UKG/Kronos, ADP, Workday, or similar platforms. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Ability to work effectively with frontline supervisors, employees, Human Resources, Payroll, and Operations leadership. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
