Greenhouse & Nursery Associate – 1st Shift
Location: Oberlin, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
Job Summary
We are hiring dependable Greenhouse & Nursery Associates for a full-time, 1st shift position in Oberlin, OH. This hands-on role involves plant care, order preparation, shipping, and general facility operations.
Responsibilities
- Plant and pot seedlings and plants.
- Fill, label, organize, and move trays and products.
- Prepare and assemble customer orders for shipment.
- Attach hangers to baskets and move products using ladders.
- Transport plants and materials using carts.
- Load and unload trucks and conveyor systems.
- Lift and carry products weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Push and pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Assist with irrigation systems and water lines.
- Use basic hand tools, including shovels, shears, and clippers.
- Clean and maintain work areas, buildings, and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous nursery, manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in hot or cold temperatures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work.
