Alligator Steps is a premier, family-owned swim school dedicated to teaching water safety and swimming skills in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Our indoor facility allows us to teach year-round, offering consistent work and a stable schedule for our team members. We believe in providing the highest quality instruction while making every lesson a positive and rewarding experience for our students and staff.
Swim Instructor Duties:
- Teach swimming lessons to individuals and small groups of various ages and skill levels.
- Ensure the safety of all students in and around the pool at all times.
- Create a positive, fun, and encouraging learning environment.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and parents on progress.
- Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in swimming, lifeguard, or in a related aquatic field is preferred, but not required. We offer paid, in-depth training!
- A passion for working with children and a patient, enthusiastic attitude.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and in-water swim test.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is a plus, but we can help you get certified.
