Gains hands-on experience in laboratory techniques, clinical settings, data collection and analysis and/or other related skills to explore careers in biomedical and/or clinical research. Job Details Responsibilities: Student will begin learning laboratory techniques to support ongoing research projects in the laboratory or clinical setting with minimal supervision. Student will begin learning how to record and analyze data related to research experiments or other data sets with minimal supervision. Other duties as assigned. Education: Undergraduate degree required. May be accepted/enrolled in an accredited college or university as a medical student, MA/MS student or other graduate program student. (EXCLUDES students in a PhD program) This position is not applicable to anyone who has completed all requirements for master’s or other advanced degree. Approval of the HR Director and Associate Chief of Research Training is required for candidates that have already completed a master's degree. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Students with previous clinical research or research laboratory experience are often preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information. Ability to distinguish color. Manual dexterity to handle specimens and repair equipment. Ability to lift and transport equipment or specimens weighing up to 20 pounds.
