EDF UK

London, gb

Treasury Cash & Working Capital Analyst.

FULL TIMEFINANCE & LEGAL

Ready to apply your treasury and finance expertise in a role that directly influences cash strategy, reporting and decision-making across a major energy business? As a Treasury Cash and Working Capital Analyst at EDF, you'll help shape financial insight and performance. Success is Personal.

We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who are available to start at short notice or are immediately available, although we welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.

The Opportunity

This newly created role reflects an increased focus on UK cash reporting and consolidated balance sheet reporting. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, you'll play a key role in strengthening financial visibility, supporting effective cash management, and delivering insights that help inform decisions across EDF's Customers and Corporate functions.

You'll join us on a salary starting of at least £45,000 per annum, alongside a competitive benefits package. This hybrid role is based at our #London office, with an expectation of attending site two days per week while benefiting from flexible remote working for the remainder of your time.

Working across Treasury and Corporate Functions, you'll support a broad portfolio of activities including cash reporting and forecasting, working capital analysis, balance sheet reporting, treasury systems development, automation and continuous improvement. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of stakeholders while helping drive efficiencies and supporting EDF's journey towards An Electric Britain.

Across smart meters, heating and electric vehicles, EDF's Customers business is helping to shape a smarter, energy-saving future. We're proud to be a Sunday Times Best Places to Work Top 10 Very Big Organisation for two years running and a Highly Commended workplace for disabled employees.

In Customers Finance, our SPIRIT values (Supportive, Professional, Inquisitive, Respectful, Inclusive and Transparent) are at the heart of how we work. Whatever your role, you'll support a culture built on trust, collaboration, curiosity and continuous improvement, helping us deliver great outcomes for our customers, colleagues and business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join EDF on an initial 12-month contract, with the potential for extension or a permanent opportunity in the future. It's an excellent way to develop your career, gain exposure across Treasury and Finance, and make a real impact from day one.

We're keen to appoint to this position as soon as possible and welcome applications from candidates who are available to start at short notice.

Who You Are

We're looking for a Treasury Cash and Working Capital Analyst who can interpret complex financial information, build strong relationships across the business, and help improve financial processes and reporting. Do you offer...?

  • Experience working within a Finance or Treasury function in a large, complex organisation, including cash management, accounting and reporting activities
  • Experience analysing working capital, balance sheet positions, cash performance, forecasts or related financial information
  • Experience evaluating, improving or automating financial processes within a controlled reporting environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience managing competing priorities and delivering against deadlines
  • Experience using Treasury Management Systems, preferably FIS Integrity, alongside advanced Excel capability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • A recognised professional treasury qualification (ACT) or accountancy qualification

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analysing working capital and balance sheet positions across EDF Energy and Corporate entities
  • Producing short, medium and long-term cash reports and forecasts
  • Consolidating business unit submissions and reviewing forecast accuracy
  • Investigating cash variances and identifying key performance drivers
  • Supporting cash reporting, insight generation and financial analysis activities
  • Managing and developing treasury system processes and controls
  • Identifying opportunities for automation, AI development and continuous improvement
  • Supporting intercompany accounting and related treasury activities
  • Coordinating activities across the Cash Community network
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business

Candidates with immediate availability or shorter notice periods would be advantageous; however, we're keen to hear from talented individuals regardless of their current notice period.

Pay, Benefits and Culture

Alongside a salary starting of at least £45,000 per annum, potential for an annual bonus and a market-leading pension scheme, your package will include customisable benefits such as electric vehicle leasing, discounted gym membership, life assurance, tech vouchers, experience days, and more.

At EDF, we believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That's why we offer you the freedom to develop a career that's unique to you. Here, Success is Personal – it's your journey, powered by us.

Everyone is welcome at EDF; we're committed to building a workforce that reflects gender balance, social mobility, and inclusion of minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and those with disabilities. As a Disability Confident employer, we will support applicants requiring adjustments.
