Software Delivery Lead.

CONTRACTSENIOR LEVELENGINEERING
Software Delivery Lead Driving Digital Transformation Through Successful Customer Deployments. Delivering Measurable Business Outcomes Through Technology, Leadership, and Execution Excellence. Partner with the best Baker Hughes is scaling a dedicated global delivery function for the Cordant suite of digital solutions. The Software Delivery Lead (SDL) is the single point of accountability for a Cordant deployment from contract signature through go-live and value realization. The SDL does not own a department—they own an outcome. For the duration of each engagement, the SDL stands up, leads, and is accountable for a cross-functional delivery team assembled from consultants, software configuration experts, domain SMEs, data scientists, and forward deployed engineers, while those employees remain aligned to their home functions. This is a high-visibility, high-trust role for someone who thrives on ambiguity, builds credibility quickly with both customer executives and internal leaders, and treats delivery commitments as personal accountability rather than project plan milestones. SDLs report into the global Cordant Delivery organization and are assigned to engagements based on customer requirements, technical complexity, and geography. Fuel your passion As a Software Delivery Lead, you will serve as the delivery leader responsible for ensuring successful implementation, customer adoption, and value realization of Cordant Digital Solutions. You will lead matrixed teams, manage customer relationships, oversee delivery execution, and drive commercial and operational success throughout the engagement lifecycle. As a Software Delivery Lead, you will be responsible for: Engagement Leadership & Team Assembly Serving as the named delivery leader for Cordant deployments from post-win handoff through project closeout. Partnering with consulting, software configuration, data science, forward deployed engineering, and domain leadership teams to assemble the appropriate delivery team for each engagement. Negotiating resource allocation and capacity requirements across multiple functions. Leading matrixed teams throughout the engagement lifecycle without direct line management authority. Establishing direction, removing obstacles, and driving accountability across the delivery team. Project & Program Management Owning engagement scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, and risk management from kickoff through go-live and transition to support. Managing governance activities including steering committees, milestone reviews, and status reporting. Driving disciplined scope management and change control processes. Identifying risks and issues early while providing mitigation options and recommendations. Tracking engagement financial performance, including cost-to-serve, margin, and utilization metrics. Partnering with Finance and Commercial teams to ensure successful delivery performance. Customer Relationship Ownership Serving as the customer's primary point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the deployment lifecycle. Building relationships across both working teams and executive sponsor levels. Managing customer expectations proactively and driving customer satisfaction. Leading executive steering committee meetings and business reviews. Translating technical progress into measurable business value and outcomes. Driving customer adoption, value realization, and deployment success. Internal Stakeholder Management Communicating project health, risks, opportunities, and resource requirements to Cordant Delivery leadership. Acting as the liaison between customer-facing delivery teams and internal organizations providing resources. Identifying capacity constraints, skills gaps, and quality concerns before they become escalations. Supporting commercial and sales teams during deal reviews, scoping activities, and future engagement planning. Delivery Quality & Continuous Improvement Ensuring delivery outputs meet customer expectations and quality standards across software, engineering, and data science workstreams. Maintaining accountability for overall engagement outcomes. Capturing lessons learned and supporting continuous improvement of deployment methodologies, playbooks, and templates. Supporting customer training and knowledge transfer activities to enable sustainable post-go-live adoption. Contributing to the evolution and maturity of Cordant's global delivery capabilities. To be successful in this role you will: Have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. Have 8–12+ years of experience delivering complex technology, software, or digital transformation projects for enterprise and industrial customers.
