Role Description: This function will work under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex commercial tasks within an integrated workforce. They will liaise with stakeholders of all levels, building good working relationships and providing a point of contact for all inquiries as a finance officer relating to accounts payable. The role is under Air Combat System Project Office (ACSPO) in conjunction with Air Force and civilian stakeholders. ACSPO has the primary mission of managing the long-term sustainment, maintenance, and logistics for Australia's fleet of F-35A Joint Strike Fighters (JSF), and life-Cycle Support. The office acts as the bridge between acquisition and ongoing operation, ensuring that the weapon systems, equipment, and platform capabilities are fully supported throughout their operational life. The successful candidate can will based out of RAAF Base Williamtown, near Newcastle, NSW. The successful candidate will be supporting the already existing members within the Finance/Commercial team at ACSPO. Essential Requirements: Provide strategic and tactical commercial advice with respect to formulation of negotiation positions and Contract Negotiation Directive (CND). Assist provision of tender debriefings leading and supporting commercial elements of the capability lifecycle, including procurement planning, tendering and contract formation, contract management and closure of contracts ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures across all contract development and management activities as needed. Providing advice, direction, assistance and services for procurement policy, technical, commercial, legal, financial investigation and other requirements to support contract development/management outcomes Applying experience to Product/Project teams to ensure delivery of quality procurement related documentation including templates, schedule, correspondence, reports, submissions, plans and strategies; Collaborating with other CASG entities such as Materiel Procurement Branch (MPB), Financial Investigative Services (FIS) / Commercial and Financial Analysis (CFA) / Defence Finance Group (DFG) and Defence Legal Building and sustaining productive relationships with ACSPO Exec, Product/Project Managers and team members, and providing high level commercial SME advice Supporting the Contact Management Officers and Contract Development Officers with mentoring, advice, providing guidance and assisting with training and personal development planning to grow commercial acumen of the team Provide input into, and clearance of, key planning documents including Smart Buyer documentation, Endorsements to Proceed, Intellectual Property Needs Analysis, and Liability Risk Assessments.
