Job Description Ready to take your career global? Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our ever-evolving SMB Sales Team and help shape the future of global commerce. In this role, you’ll empower small and medium-sized businesses to grow by connecting them with innovative payment, software, and technology solutions that simplify operations and drive success. As a key driver of new business growth, you’ll build trusted relationships, uncover opportunities, and deliver solutions that create measurable value for your clients. Working within a high-performing team and backed by a global leader in payments technology, you’ll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on client success, accelerate your own career, and contribute to Global Payments’ mission of powering commerce worldwide. If you thrive on ownership, achievement, and influencing business outcomes, this is a role where your ambition and results can make a lasting impact. What You'll Own Drive market growth across your territory by acquiring new business clients, expanding Global Payments’ presence, and consistently delivering against revenue and performance goals. Create meaningful business outcomes for clients by identifying operational challenges and delivering payment and technology solutions that help businesses improve efficiency, grow, and compete more effectively. Own the full client growth journey by building strong pipelines, converting opportunities into long-term partnerships, and maximizing lifetime customer value. Expand strategic referral opportunities by developing influential relationships within local business communities, generating high-quality leads, and accelerating sustainable business growth. Leverage market insights to strengthen performance by identifying emerging opportunities, sharing industry knowledge, and influencing sales strategies that drive continuous improvement and competitive advantage. What You'll Bring 3-5 years of demonstrated success in business-to-business (B2B) sales, with a proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets. Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills, with the ability to establish trust and deliver value to business owners and decision-makers. Experience prospecting, developing sales pipelines, and closing new business opportunities in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence decisions and articulate complex solutions clearly. An entrepreneurial, self-motivated mindset with the resilience, accountability, and determination to succeed independently. It's a Bonus If You Have Experience selling software, technology solutions, financial services, or payment processing solutions. An established network of local business contacts and strong knowledge of your regional market. Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms such as Salesforce and applying sales funnel methodologies to drive results.
