About the role Job Summary The Sr. Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining production machinery, ensuring efficient and safe operations. This role performs advanced machine setup, monitors production quality, and may assist in training junior operators. This job profile is intended for experienced support-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations. This job and its associated grade are specifically aligned with roles that have the following scope of responsibility: Small, Medium, Large, Division / Extra Large organization. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate machinery according to specifications. Monitor machine performance and product quality. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures. Document production data and report issues. Train and support junior machine operators. Skills & Qualifications Typically requires vocational training (or equivalent experience) and several years of relevant work experience to carry out the role. Proficiency in operating industrial machinery. Understanding of safety and quality standards. Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and documentation skills.
