Want to make an impact at the heart of our Finance organization? Join our Group Accounting & Reporting team and help shape the financial backbone of ParshipMeet Group! As a key partner to our shareholder ProSiebenSat.1 Media and external auditors, our team ensures transparency, accuracy and excellence in IFRS accounting, group consolidation and financial reporting. Working closely with our General Ledger and Tax teams, you will help drive efficient processes, consistent accounting standards and reliable financial closings across the Group.Join us in Hamburg, Berlin or Dresden and help take our financial reporting to the next level!
Minimum Qualifications and skills
- You have successfully completed a degree in business administration or a comparable field.
- You have relevant professional experience in finance and accounting, either within a corporate group or an audit firm.
- You have strong knowledge of Group accounting under IFRS and know how to apply your technical expertise effectively.
- You have very good MS Excel skills and experience with commonly used group financial reporting / consolidation software and ERP systems.
- You have a hands-on mentality and are proactive in taking ownership.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to work when situations are ambiguous or require judgment call.
- Native-level German and very good English skills, combined with a respectful and professional written and verbal communication style, complete your profile.
Preferred Qualifications and skills
- A professional qualification as a certified public accountant/auditor is an advantage.
- You have fundamentals in HGB and US GAAP.
- Prior experience with the disclosure management tool SmartNotes is a plus.
What the role is about
- As an expert in Group Accounting & Reporting, you will work closely with the Team Lead Group Accounting & Reporting and the CFO to manage and develop the Group Accounting & Reporting function for our holding company. You will execute and improve the team's operational processes and contribute your expertise to an array of technical accounting standards like IAS 36, IAS 37, IAS 38, IFRS 15, IFRS 16 etc. and accounting-related valuation issues.
- From the outset, you will be responsible for all activities related to the preparation and analysis of the consolidated financial statements under IFRS, including all mandatory notes and disclosures.
- Review and ensure the quality of monthly accounting and reporting and sub-group consolidation in accordance with the parent company's guidelines and reporting tools.
- Within external reporting, you will act as the key contact for our internal functions, our shareholder and the Group auditors. You will manage our audit cycles alongside the Team Lead Group Accounting & Reporting and serve as a trusted business partner for our auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Together with the shareholder and General Ledger team, you will define and refine ongoing accounting and reporting processes and play a key role in developing Group accounting policies.
