Job Title: Refractory Technician Division: Weir ESCO Location: Newton - On Site Shift: 2nd Shift 1:00 pm - 11:15 pm ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES JOB SUMMARY · Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the ladles and vessels, relining with multi-components the AOD vessels, bottom pour ladles, transfer ladles and the making of stopper rods, cleans the old linings out of the ladles with the use of a chipping gun and installs the appropriate lining, removes the burned bricks from the AOD vessel and re-bricks the vessel, positions and moves the ladles, vessels and refractory materials with an overhead crane.
