Qualified individuals would have the ability and proven track record to successfully manage multiple development projects within a fast-paced, matrix team environment. Prior experience in a customer-facing role and a solid background in life sciences is required. This position is a unique opportunity for an individual to make a real impact on human health alongside our team of computer scientists, curators, computational biologists, and biostatisticians.

This position is fully remote and based in the UK or Europe. It may be eligible for extension beyond the 6-month project.

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage 10-15 concurrent scientific projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of client objectives.
  • Tailor project management methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum, Agile) to suit the unique needs of each project, balancing scientific rigor with flexible, client-focused execution.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining key milestones, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with client objectives and Rancho BioSciences' strategic goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships through proactive communication, clear updates, and managing expectations.
  • Provide strategic leadership to project teams, which may include scientists, bioinformaticians, and data analysts, aligning team efforts with project goals and client needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure seamless project execution and resource alignment.
  • Translate complex scientific concepts and project details into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive regular project reviews and progress reports, identifying risks and opportunities to keep projects on track.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration and open communication within the project teams, ensuring alignment and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize project workflows and enhance efficiency while maintaining high scientific and operational standards.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the scientific landscape relevant to client projects and Rancho Biosciences' service offerings, using this knowledge to guide project direction and client interactions.
  • Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines, providing updates on scope changes or challenges as they arise.
