The opportunity
Good reporting does more than present data. It helps decision-makers understand what has changed, where attention is needed and what action should follow.
As our Reporting Analyst, you’ll own the end-to-end production of recurring reporting across Netwealth’s Risk, Legal & Governance function. You’ll bring together data and commentary from multiple teams, validate the information and turn it into clear reports, dashboards and insights for senior leaders, committees and Boards.
Reporting to the Head of RLG Operations, you’ll manage reporting calendars, coordinate review cycles and maintain strong version and quality controls. You’ll also help improve how reporting is produced by standardising definitions and templates and identifying opportunities to streamline or automate recurring work.
This is an individual contributor role for someone who combines strong analytical skills with careful coordination and concise communication. You’ll own the production and quality of reporting, while working closely with subject-matter experts who remain accountable for the underlying risk, compliance and legal positions.
In this role, you will
Prepare quarterly Risk, Legal & Governance reporting and supporting papers for Executives, risk and audit committees and Boards.
Produce monthly and ad hoc reports covering incidents, breaches, reportable situations, risk and control assessments, obligations, issues, actions, complaints and regulatory matters.
Manage reporting calendars, deadlines, contributions, review cycles, version control and final sign-off.
Extract, reconcile and validate information from Protecht and other data sources.
Analyse trends, themes and exceptions and translate them into clear commentary, charts and dashboards.
Check the consistency of figures across reports and work with data owners to resolve errors or missing information.
Standardise reporting templates, definitions and metrics.
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting using Protecht, Excel, Power BI and Microsoft 365 tools.
Document processes so reporting remains repeatable and resilient.
Provide reporting requirements and data-quality feedback to the Risk Systems and Analytics Manager.
Assist with testing Protecht changes that affect reporting.
About you
You are analytical, organised and comfortable taking responsibility for recurring deliverables with firm deadlines. You can work through detailed data without losing sight of what senior decision-makers need to know.
You communicate clearly, ask thoughtful questions and respectfully follow up stakeholders when information is missing or inconsistent. You also understand that reporting must remain factual and transparent, particularly when the information relates to risk, compliance, legal or regulatory matters.
You’ll bring
Expertise in reporting, data analysis or management information within risk, compliance, audit or governance.
Experience producing recurring management, committee or Board reporting.
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with complex datasets.
Strong analytical capability, including data validation, reconciliation and trend analysis.
The ability to produce clear, concise written commentary for senior audiences.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several reporting cycles and deadlines.
Confidence engaging and following up stakeholders at different levels.
Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
Experience that would be helpful, but is not essential
Protecht or another governance, risk and compliance platform.
Power BI or a similar data-visualisation tool.
Wealth management, superannuation or investment platform experience.
Exposure to APRA or ASIC regulatory frameworks.
A qualification in commerce, finance, business analytics, data, risk or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
If the opportunity interests you but you don’t meet every preferred criterion, we encourage you to apply. Relevant reporting and analytical experience can come from different regulated or governance-focused environments.
