About the Unit CHW Grand Rapids Hospitals Oncology & Hematology- Greenville offers Medical Oncology and Infusion Services. We work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, comprehensive, and exceptional care and support to our patients and their families. Scope of Work Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Qualifications Required Associate's Degree Nursing Required Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2018 (Big Rapids, Reed City) Required Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between April 1, 2016 and December 31, 2017 (Big Rapids, Reed City) Required Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after May 1, 2020 (Gerber, Ludington, Pennock) Required Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between January 1, 2017 and April 30, 2020 (Gerber, Ludington, Pennock) Required Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 5 years for those who start in this RN role on or after January 1, 2017 (Pennock) Required Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing must be obtained within 7 years for those who start in this RN role between January 1, 2013 and December 31, 2016 (Zeeland) Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program Required LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required CRT-Oncology Nursing Society - ONCC Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certificate course completion required for RNs working in departments where chemotherapy/immunotherapy is administered.
