Job Description Summary Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market Job Description Responsibilities: Manage supplier development including assisting key suppliers towards QA. Support suppliers in reaching optimum quality and industrial standards of excellence in generators. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise within their discipline. May require strong commercial awareness, and is expected to influence the development of strategy within own area, including control of resources and influences policy formulation. May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Work is subject to functional policy objectives. Regularly advises management in the function and/or in the business. Has a supportive role in decision making about important subjects. High levels of evaluative judgment are required to achieve outcomes required. Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent Significant experience in Engineering or Supplier Quality or Manufacturing or relevant experience Good technical knowledge of Generators and quality Strong product knowledge of turbo generators Working knowledge in Quality / Risk Assessment / RCA /Qualification / Commodity Assessment / Non - Conformance Excellent command of English in both written and verbal communication What will make you stand out Ability to understand and improve complex processes in a cross-functional environment. Financial acumen, knowledge of pricing, costing and product accounting. Ability to work effectively across functions. Excellent written/oral communication in English/Chinese and interpersonal skills, customer focused, enthusiastic. Willingness and ability to travel >40% of the time Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market and execute programs.
