THG’s Finance department is a rapidly growing and evolving team, covering all areas of central functions such as Accounts Receivable and Payable, Treasury, Tax and Group Finance, to specific Commercial teams for each of THG’s divisions.

About the Role
As an Assistant Management Accountant within our Nutrition Finance team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate reporting, supporting month-end processes, and providing financial insight across our B2B, licensing, and commercial operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with exposure to a broad range of accounting and commercial activities.
As an Assistant Management Accountant for B2B your responsibilities will include:
Reporting & Analysis
- Produce weekly and monthly sales and performance reporting across customers, channels, and products.
- Maintain reporting packs, dashboards, and key business KPIs.
- Investigate variances, identify trends, and support data-driven decision making.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support Finance and Commercial teams.
Month-End & Financial Control
- Support month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
- Assist with balance sheet reviews and revenue and cost validation.
- Investigate transactional variances and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
Commercial & B2B Finance
- Maintain customer investment, rebate, and deduction trackers.
- Support customer profitability reporting and forecast reviews.
- Validate sales, margin, and commercial performance reporting to support business decisions.
Licensing & Royalties
- Manage royalty trackers and support royalty calculations and reporting.
- Reconcile royalty data against sales performance.
- Support audit requests and monitor contractual obligations, including minimum guarantee commitments.
Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement
- Support internal and external audit activity by preparing documentation and supporting analysis.
- Perform reconciliations between source systems and reported figures.
- Help strengthen financial controls, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.
Data & Systems Management
- Extract, analyse, and validate data from financial and reporting systems.
- Maintain master data and reporting structures.
- Support testing of system enhancements and new reporting solutions.
- Assist with documenting and improving finance processes.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with Finance and Commercial stakeholders to provide accurate financial information and insight.
- Prepare reporting packs for budgeting, forecasting, and business reviews.
- Proactively identify risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement, escalating where appropriate.
What skills and experience do I need for this role?
- Part-qualified AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA (or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification).
- Previous experience in a finance, management accounting, finance analyst, or assistant accountant role.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and manipulate large data sets.
- Experience producing financial reports, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confident communicating with stakeholders across Finance and commercial teams.
- Proactive approach with a willingness to challenge data and investigate anomalies.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
