Production Control & Scheduler.

FULL TIME

Energized by the challenge of coordinating people, materials, and production schedules in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and making sure the right materials are available at the right time?

Join the team as a Production Control & Scheduler, where planning, analytical, and communication skills will help drive production efficiency, support on-time delivery, and keep manufacturing operations running smoothly.

What the Job Entails

As a key member of the manufacturing team, this position will connect production planning, purchasing, inventory, and customer service to keep operations on track. Monitor production schedules, anticipate potential roadblocks, and work collaboratively across departments to ensure customer commitments are met.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Plan & Schedule Production: Develop, coordinate, and maintain production schedules to support manufacturing priorities and customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate Materials & Resources: Work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure materials are available when needed and production resources are aligned with demand.
  • Monitor Production Progress: Track open orders, review production status, and identify potential delays or capacity constraints before they impact delivery.
  • Analyze & Solve Problems: Evaluate production data, investigate scheduling issues, interpret information, and recommend practical solutions to keep work moving.
  • Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with purchasing, production, customer service, and other stakeholders to communicate priorities, resolve issues, and maintain alignment.
  • Support Inventory Accuracy: Help ensure material requirements are properly identified and inventory is available to meet production needs.
  • Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to improve scheduling accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate Proactively: Provide timely updates on production status, potential delays, and delivery commitments to help internal teams make informed decisions.

We're looking for someone who combines strong organizational skills with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, plus relevant manufacturing or production-related experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment or in a related production planning, scheduling, materials, or operations role.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to interpret data, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people across different departments.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and the ability to learn and use business software systems.
  • A consistent focus on accuracy, reliability, and meeting commitments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with production control, production scheduling, material requirements planning (MRP), or inventory management.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, production capacity, and material flow.
  • Experience using ERP or other business software systems to manage orders, inventory, and production information.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and lean manufacturing principles.
