About the role
In this role you'll work in a squad with a dedicated Manager and Lead, doing the work needed to test and improve the performance of our products. Supported with training, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and mentorship, the SEO Executive will be responsible for optimising pages and internal linking, fixing issues, and doing research to support new opportunities. All of this is key to improving SEO visibility. You may also work on other projects, including content creation, publishing content on our websites, community management and social media marketing. This role suits someone who follows sport and entertainment closely and wants to progress quickly in SEO & Content.
The role follows a hybrid schedule from our Balluta Bay office in Malta, right on the water, with panoramic sea views and a full-size private gym.
What you’ll do
- Doing keyword research, content gap analysis and competitor reviews to find new traffic opportunities.
- Auditing pages for on-page optimisation and internal linking, and fixing broken links.
- Keeping pages up to date each month and checking they're accurate before they go live.
- Content creation and publishing in WordPress, and helping with community management and social media marketing.
- Updating tasks on our project management platform as you finish them.
What we’re looking for
- Hands-on experience with Semrush, Ahrefs, Majestic, Google Search Console and similar tools, or willing to learn fast.
- Strong written English and hands-on WordPress experience.
- Confident using AI tools to work faster, or keen to learn quickly, and always checking what they produce.
- Ambition to progress and take on more responsibility quickly.
- A big interest in sports and entertainment.
- Based in Malta and able to work from the Saint Julian’s office on a hybrid schedule.
