About the role
Realty is Arabian Business’s new dedicated real estate publication, covering property markets, developers, investors, financing and regulation across the Middle East. We’re looking for an editor who understands the real estate sector and can turn complex market movements into sharp, credible journalism for an audience of developers, brokers, investors and advisors.
Responsibilities:
· Own the editorial plan for Realty across print, digital and newsletter formats.
· Commission and edit features, news, analysis and data-led stories on residential, commercial, hospitality and off-plan markets.
· Create short form and long form social video content.
· Build and maintain relationships with developers, brokers, consultants, regulators and industry bodies.
· Break news and secure exclusive interviews with senior figures in real estate.
· Lead and mentor writers and contributors, and set editorial standards for accuracy and sourcing.
· Work with the commercial and events teams on sponsored content, roundtables and awards, keeping editorial independence clear.
· Track market data and reports to identify trends and story angles before competitors do.
Requirements:
· At least five years of journalism or editorial experience, with at least two in property, construction, finance or business media.
· Strong knowledge of Gulf real estate markets, including UAE, KSA and wider GCC dynamics.
· Excellent writing and editing skills, with a clear, authoritative voice.
· Confident reading financial statements, market reports and planning documents.
· Strong network across the regional property industry.
· Fluent English. Arabic is a strong advantage.
· Be at ease on camera and experienced in creating video content.
· An ability to edit social video is a plus.
