(Senior) Sales Manager Software Solutions EU South (all genders).

Your mission:

• Drive sales growth of meteocontrol’s software and SaaS solutions across the EU South region, with a primary focus on Italy and selected Southern European markets.
• Develop and execute a dedicated software sales strategy, targeting utility-scale PV, BESS, IPPs, asset owners, O&M providers and renewable energy investors.
• Identify and acquire new customers while expanding software adoption and recurring revenues within the existing customer portfolio.
• Position VCOM Cloud and other meteocontrol digital solutions as standalone value propositions, beyond traditional hardware-related sales.
• Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and opportunity qualification to commercial negotiations and contract closing.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers, including technical, operational and executive stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with regional Sales teams, Product Management, Technical Sales and the global Software organization.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, prepare forecasts and contribute to regional software revenue targets.
• Main challenge: Accelerate the transition towards a proactive, software-driven commercial approach, increasing SaaS market penetration, recurring revenues and customer retention across EU South.

Your profile:

• Minimum 5–7 years of B2B sales experience, preferably including at least 3 years in software, SaaS or digital solutions.
• Proven track record in business development, new customer acquisition and complex solution selling.
• Solid understanding of the renewable energy sector, particularly utility-scale solar PV, BESS, asset management and monitoring platforms.
• Experience in selling enterprise software solutions, ideally within the energy or industrial technology sectors.
• Strong commercial negotiation, account management and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage with both technical stakeholders and senior management.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, self-motivation and ability to work independently in an international environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English and Italian; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
