This Water Mitigation Restoration Crew Chief role is responsible for restoring properties effectively according to IICRC guidelines through water mitigation, mold remediation, and fire/structure cleaning on commercial and residential jobs.
As Water Mitigation Restoration Crew Chief you lead the work on site: water extraction, containment setup and breakdown, demolition, cleaning, moving contents in and out, and setting up and monitoring the equipment that dries and completes the project. Prior restoration experience is preferred.
Pay that rewards ambition. Water Mitigation Restoration Crew Chiefs at Dreyer's DKI typically make between $65,000 and $100,000 a year based on production volume, with the right person who does high-quality work landing toward the top of that range. You are guaranteed a competitive hourly rate ($18–$25 based on your performance level) with a 40-hour floor. Every pay week we also calculate your commission on the revenue you complete as Crew Chief — and you get paid the higher of the two, never both. Overtime is common (this role often averages 5–8 hours of OT a week, depending on how busy the season is), and there is a call-out bonus when you are pulled in off rotation.

- Previous restoration or construction industry experience preferred, but not necessarily required
Essential Functions:
- Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record
- Respond to emergency calls and be available for on-call work
- Perform demolition work after water/flood, fire, mold, or storm damage
- Remove carpet, carpet pads, drywall, and insulation as necessary
- Haul debris from job sites
- Move customer contents from work areas as necessary
- Maintain deadlines for content and cleaning projects
- Assess damage at the client's property and attend to it
- Set up and monitor equipment
- Follow established safety guidelines and protocols
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Lead the crew on site and deliver quality work that customers and insurance partners trust
