About the role
As Groom at Domes of Corfu , you will deliver exceptional guest service by helping with luggage, sharing information about hotel facilities and services, and making every stay warm and welcoming. You will create a positive first and last impression for our guests.
What you will do
Arrivals and departures
- Welcome guests on arrival and departure in a friendly and courteous way.
- Help with luggage, including loading and unloading vehicles, and escort guests to their rooms.
- Work closely with the front desk and concierge team for smooth check in and check out.
Luggage and deliveries
- Transport luggage and personal belongings safely to and from guest rooms.
- Deliver packages, amenities and other items to guest rooms on request.
- Store luggage securely for early arrivals and late departures.
Guest information
- Share accurate information about hotel services, facilities and local attractions.
- Answer guest questions and recommend dining, entertainment and transport options.
- Work with the concierge team to deliver personalised service.
Guest transport
- Arrange transport for guests on request, including taxis, airport shuttles and private transfers.
- Keep guests safe by following driving rules inside and outside the hotel grounds.
Safety and security
- Follow all safety and security procedures when assisting guests.
- Report any suspicious activity or security concerns to management.
Requirements
What you will bring
- Fluent English.
- A valid category B driving licence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with guests and colleagues.
- The ability to work in a fast paced environment and stay professional under pressure.
- A problem solving approach, an eye for detail and the ability to think quickly when challenges arise.
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as bell, valet or concierge, or in guest service, is desirable.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
- Additional foreign languages are desirable.
