This is a full-time RN position that supports night coverage, offering a unique opportunity to provide expert pediatric care during transport, including helicopter transfers. Position Details: ❤️ What You'll Do As a Pediatric Transport RN, you'll use your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and calm under pressure to: Assess and stabilize pediatric patients for transport Provide continuous nursing care during helicopter transfers Perform necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions Interpret monitoring, laboratory, and diagnostic information Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and the multidisciplinary team Provide safe, effective patient handoffs using tools such as SBAR Coordinate care across departments and facilities Involve patients and families in care decisions and education Advocate for patient safety, privacy, and dignity throughout the transport process 🩺 What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program Current RN license in the hiring state and/or applicable compact license BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire Ability to meet the physical demands of a transport environment, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds Depending on departmental requirements, additional certifications may include PALS, ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., or other unit-specific credentials. 🌙 Schedule Full-time | Nights If you're ready to combine your love of pediatric nursing with the challenge and excitement of critical-care transport, we'd love to have you on our team. Transforming the Health of Our Communities Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes.
