This initiative reflects our commitment to expanding beyond traditional rental services and advancing modern transportation solutions.  As an EV Technician B, you will perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and high-voltage repairs across electric and autonomous vehicle platforms. This role builds upon foundational EV expertise and provides a clear pathway for advancement to Master Technician (Technician A).  What You’ll Do: Advanced Mechanical & Vehicle Systems  Diagnoses, service, and repair HVAC systems, including component replacement and system performance verification.  Perform axle, suspension, and steering component repair and replacement in accordance with OEM specifications.  Electrical, High Voltage & Safety Systems  Demonstrate competent electrical aptitude while diagnosing and repairing low-voltage and high-voltage systems.  Execute high-voltage safety lockout/tagout procedures, including LV/HV isolation, in compliance with safety standards.  Replace onboard chargers, charge ports, and associated high-voltage components as required.  Diagnostics, Software & Firmware  Perform firmware updates and validate proper system functionality post-update.  Troubleshoot moderate software and firmware issues affecting vehicle performance or system integration.  Utilize OEM diagnostic platforms to interpret fault data and determine root cause effectively.  Calibrations & System Integration  Perform any and all required system calibrations following repairs or component replacements.  Support ADAS-related calibration processes in alignment with OEM procedures and safety standards.  Verify post-repair vehicle readiness through functional testing and validation.  Thermal & Cooling Systems  Perform coolant evacuation and refill procedures for EV thermal management systems.  Perks You’ll Get:   Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance     Eligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Auto Insurance, Group Home Insurance, Pet Insurance, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, FSA, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and additional life insurance coverages     Contribute up to $270 as a tax-free benefit for public transportation or parking expenses     401(k) Retirement Plan with company matched contributions     Employee discounts, including discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars     Access to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service and more  What We’re Looking For:   Valid Driver’s License ASE certifications (3+ of A1–A8) are preferred; flex considered for candidates with relevant automotive service experience, including at least 2 years of Hybrid or EV OEM experience.  ASE xEV Level 1 and Level 2 certifications are required. Proof of certification must be loaded into the Company’s system no later than three (3) business days following date of hire. Demonstrated experience with high-voltage diagnostics, module replacement, and advanced system troubleshooting.  Strong working knowledge of EV safety protocols, software-driven diagnostics, and calibration processes.  Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and documentation.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles  Work may occur indoors and outdoors depending on fleet needs  This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely  Who We Are:  Here at Avis Budget Group, you will be joining a team of 25,000 driven people, performing with purpose.
