Key Responsibilities: Lead & Innovate: Design complex, scalable, and maintainable software features across various architectures (including microservices, DDD/CQRS, and event-driven systems). Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience. At least 4-6 years of relevant software engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications: We operate across a wide variety of tech stacks to solve complex problems. You do NOT need experience with all of these to be a great fit. If you are highly skilled in a few of these areas and have a strong foundation in software engineering, our recruiting team will work with you to find the WellSky team that best aligns with your background! Backend: .NET/C#, Python (Django/Flask), Java, or Ruby. Frontend: Modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular, or Vue. Cloud & Infrastructure: GCP (preferred), AWS, Azure, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes/Helm. Architecture & Data: RESTful/GraphQL APIs, event-driven messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ/PubSub), and relational/cloud databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, BigQuery). AI Tools: Experience or strong interest in using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code). Domain Knowledge: Healthcare tech interoperability (FHIR, HL7, HIPAA, EMR), medical claims, or payroll accounting.
