As part of our Intensive Care Units, you'll play a vital role in delivering critical care to patients in need.
Role Overview
As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gases therapy primarily to critical care patients in the Intensive Care Units. You'll perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures, maintain clinical expertise across various business units, and ensure effective communication and documentation of patient care.

What You Will Do
- Deliver life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gases therapy to critical care patients.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients.
- Maintain clinical expertise for departmental assignments across various business units.
- Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and completely.
- Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to respiratory orienteers, externs, and students as assigned.
What You Will Need
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
- Associate of Science Degree, minimum
- Recent graduate of a Respiratory Therapist school or two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a Tertiary Hospital.
- Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan (new graduates have 90 days to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy.
