Together we fight for everyone’s opportunity for a better financial future. We will do this together — with customers, partners and colleagues. We will fight for others, not against: We will stand up for and champion everyone’s access to opportunities. The status quo is not good enough … we believe every individual and every community deserves access to financial opportunities. We are determined to support both individuals and communities in reaching a better financial future. We know that reaching this future depends on our actions today. Like our Purpose Statement, Voya believes in being bold and committed to action. We are committed to a work environment where the differences that we are born with — and those we acquire throughout our lives — are understood, valued and intentionally pursued. We believe that our employees own our culture and have a responsibility to foster an environment where we all feel comfortable bringing our whole selves to work. Purposefully bringing our differences together to positively influence our culture, serve our clients and enrich our communities is essential to our vision. Are you ready to join a company with a strong purpose and a winning culture? Start your Voyage – Apply Now Get to Know the Opportunity: This position is part of Voya Investment Management (Voya IM) and our Summer Student Program, offering students the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the investment management industry while working alongside professionals across the Voya IM organization. Curious about what marketing looks like inside an investment management firm? As a Marketing Intern, you’ll get hands-on experience helping create marketing content, primarily for a financial advisor audience. You might work on an email or social post one day and help with a webinar, event, product launch, or new idea the next. You’ll get to see how ideas take shape, how different parts of marketing work together, and what it takes to turn a good idea into something people can actually use. Marketing will be your home base, but we want you to get to know the broader business, too. You’ll have opportunities to meet people across the organization, learn about different parts of asset management, take part in networking and volunteer events, and ask plenty of questions along the way. This role is based in our New York office, with an expected onsite presence of three days per week. The Contributions You’ll Make Help create marketing campaigns, emails, webinars, presentations, and communications for financial advisors. Research industry trends, investment products, competitors, audiences, and new marketing ideas. Pitch in on conferences, events, product launches, and special projects. Help keep projects organized and moving when several people or teams are involved. Learn how content, campaigns, product marketing, and sales work together. Bring your own ideas and perspective. We don’t expect you to know everything, but we do want you to be curious, ask questions, and be willing to try things. Minimum Knowledge & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle more than one assignment at a time. Comfortable asking questions, taking initiative, and figuring things out when the answer isn’t obvious. Comfortable using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot to brainstorm, explore ideas, try different approaches, and make your work better. We’re looking for someone who likes to experiment and iterate, not just take the first answer and run with it. Preferred Knowledge & Experience Curious and eager to learn. Resourceful and willing to dig for an answer. Collaborative, dependable, and comfortable sharing ideas. Interested in marketing, investing, financial services, or simply curious about how businesses connect with people. Open to feedback and willing to rethink or revise your work. How This Role Aligns to Our Core Four: At Voya, our Core Four guide how we work together and deliver meaningful outcomes for our customers. As a Marketing Intern, you’ll have opportunities to bring these expectations to life through your day-to-day work and learning experience. Instill Customer Obsession: Support advisor-facing communications and marketing efforts that help connect customers and advisors with relevant investment information. Transform with Automation/AI: Use tools such as Microsoft Copilot to support research, content development, and more efficient ways of working. Drive Higher Performance Through Our People: Collaborate across teams, ask questions, seek feedback, and contribute to shared marketing goals. Execute on the Fundamentals: Bring organization, attention to detail, and follow-through to campaigns, events, presentations, and project deliverables. #LI-MN1 Compensation Pay Disclosure: Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.
