CONTRACTREMOTEPEOPLE & OPS
Who We Are Robert Half, one of FORTUNE’s World’s Most Admired Companies and a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, is hiring a Webcast Producer (Contract Talent) to join the Media Design Studio. Our goal is to identify the best individual for each job, whether you live in the same city or across the globe. We encourage you to explore opportunities for career growth in all areas of Robert Half and Protiviti. This role combines hands-on studio and live-event production with virtual and hybrid event expertise, supporting executive webcasts, town halls, live events, training programs and other high-profile communications. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable operating professional broadcast and AV equipment in a studio environment and producing sophisticated virtual events. What You'll Do Plan, produce and execute live webcasts, studio productions and hybrid events from initial request through final delivery. This includes gathering requirements, developing technical approaches, conducting rehearsals, preparing show elements, executing live productions, troubleshooting issues and supporting post-event wrap-up. Produce and support events from the Media Design Studio, operating and integrating professional cameras, audio systems, video switchers, playback systems, graphics, presentation content, recording systems and streaming technologies to deliver polished and reliable live productions. Serve as a Microsoft Teams production expert for virtual and hybrid events, including event setup, presenter and attendee management, content sharing, audio/video configuration, presentation workflows, recordings, captions, moderation and live troubleshooting. Integrate Microsoft Teams with professional studio and AV production workflows, including external cameras, microphones, audio mixers, video switchers, presentation systems, streaming/encoding technologies and other production equipment. Work closely with clients, stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand communication and training needs. Recommend production approaches based on the intended audience, desired experience, available technology and event requirements. Collaborate with executives and senior stakeholders on critical, high-profile webcasts and live events, providing confident technical guidance and maintaining a high level of professionalism throughout planning, rehearsal and execution. Support a variety of live production roles, including technical director, webcast producer, camera operator, PTZ camera operator, audio operator, video switcher operator, PowerPoint operator, playback operator, encoding technician and possibly webcast moderator. Evaluate on-site event requirements, including venue capabilities, crew needs, equipment requirements, transportation, power, connectivity and other technical considerations. Coordinate additional crew and equipment as necessary. Set up and operate professional video and audio equipment, including manned and unmanned cameras, PTZ cameras, wired and wireless microphones, analog and digital audio mixers, video routers, production switchers, playback systems and recording devices. Manage complex audio and video signal paths using HDMI, HD-SDI, NDI, USB, converters, distribution amplifiers and other AV infrastructure. Diagnose and resolve signal, connectivity, audio, video and streaming issues during rehearsals and live events. Configure and operate streaming technologies, services and software encoders, including vMix and related tools. Monitor stream quality and troubleshoot technical issues affecting presenters, participants or audiences. Edit recorded programs and webcast content as needed, including importing and organizing media, editing footage, adding graphics, animation, titles, music, voice-over and sound effects, preparing final deliverables and archiving project assets. Create still and motion graphics for live webcasts using Adobe Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects. Deliverables may include show graphics, logos, titles, opening and closing sequences and other visual elements. Collaborate closely with Media Design Studio team members, Corporate Communications, IT, administrative staff and other business partners. Share knowledge, production best practices, technical solutions and emerging capabilities while maintaining brand standards. Stay current on evolving webcast, streaming, virtual-event and studio-production technologies, including Microsoft Teams capabilities and best practices. What You'll Need High School Diploma. Minimum 3 years of professional experience in webcast, live-event, broadcast or AV media production and support. Hands-on experience working in a professional studio, broadcast, webcast or live-event production environment. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Teams for professional webcast and live-event production, including the ability to configure, produce and troubleshoot virtual and hybrid events; manage presenters and participants; route and monitor audio/video; share presentations and media; manage recordings and captions; and integrate Teams with professional AV and studio-production equipment. Strong understanding of live production for in-person, studio, virtual and hybrid events, including technical rehearsals, run-of-show execution, presenter support, signal flow, monitoring, troubleshooting and live-event contingency planning. Ability to independently set up, operate and troubleshoot professional cameras, audio systems, production switchers, playback systems, graphics, recording equipment and streaming systems. Experience setting up and cabling video sources, including manned and unmanned cameras, audio systems, computers, presentation sources, video playback systems and recording devices. Ability to effectively operate professional video cameras with minimal direction. Working knowledge of video signal paths, including HDMI, HD-SDI and NDI sources, converters, routers and distribution amplifiers. Ability to configure and operate a multi-input production and successfully stream and record the program through completion. Strong understanding of streaming audio and video to and from different platforms, including professional streaming protocols, services and software encoders such as vMix. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues during rehearsals and live productions. Working knowledge of pre-production and post-production workflows, including video editing, basic still and motion graphic design, media management and exporting content for web delivery. Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Audition, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
