What Retail Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers. Retail Pharmacy is responsible for ensuring the correct and safe dispensing of prescription medications to the general public, in accordance with legal, ethical and professional guidelines; may also consult with and advise patients and physicians regarding prescribed and over-the-counter medications. This position will be located at the Harmony Healthcare Pharmacy -Roosevelt, Long Island, NY Pharmacy hours: Monday 8:30am-4:00pm, Tuesday 8:30am-6:00pm, Wednesday 8:30am-4:00pm, Thursday 8:30am-6:00pm, Friday 8:30am-4:00pm Schedule: PRN covering PTO and working on an as needed basis Job Summary The role of the Technician II, Retail Pharmacy plays an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication. Responsibilities Maintains professional working relationships, with all medical personnel. Understands that the requirements of working in a pharmacy Be available to the customer/patients and maintain a friendly and helpful attitude when dealing with customers. Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Organizes and assists pharmacist Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B Qualifications High school degree or equivalent preferred Registration in state in which the position is located (if applicable) National certification or ability to get certified within 180 days of employment 1-2 years of retail pharmacy technician related experience preferred Fluent in Spanish preferred May require vendor credentialing What is expected of you and others at this level Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks Readily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned area Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications Works on routine assignments that require some problem resolution Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods Adheres to all quality guidelines Works under moderate degree of supervision Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor Anticipated Hourly Pay Range: $24.60 per hour - $31.59 per hour Bonus eligible: No Benefits: Paid time off in compliance with applicable laws Application window anticipated to close: 12/06/2026*if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.
