Job Title: Special Education Paraprofessional Pay Range: $20-$25/hour Job Description: $20-$25/hour | Madison, WI | Special Education Paraprofessionals | 2026-2027 School Year About the Role: Provide instructional assistance to students in K-12 school settings. You'll conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy to help students improve communication skills and access their education. This role collaborates closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes. Assist and provide support for students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts. Assist in maintaining appropriate classroom environment to ensure a safe and positive learning experience. Monitor individual students in the classroom, library, or during playground activities to ensure a safe and positive learning environment Monitor and assists students during various classroom activities (examples; art, literacy, bath rooming, fine motor skills) Maintain confidentiality in all correspondence and communications Support special needs learners and modifies instruction as directed Assist in maintaining appropriate student conduct Maintain discipline in the absence of the teacher Perform other related duties as assigned/required by teacher(s), site, or district administrator(s).
