JOB SUMARY
The School Night Janitor is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing school facilities according to the cleaning specifications for each building. Cleaning tasks include but are not limited to; cleaning lobbies and common areas, sweeping and mopping classrooms, common areas and hallways daily, trash removal, dusting, cleaning and restocking supplies in restrooms.
- Clean all common areas including lobby, reception area, elevators and stairwells.
- Empty all trash cans, replace liners and clean receptacles as needed.
- Sweep, and mop hard floor surfaces in classrooms, school clinic and common areas daily
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies.
- Dust horizontal and vertical surfaces.
- Clean up spills on floors and carpets as necessary (except blood spills – only trained personnel are required to clean blood spills).
- Greet people working in the school in a polite, respectful and helpful manner to ensure positive relationships.
- Screen and route requests to supervisor if necessary, provide timely and accurate customer service support.
- Perform other duties as requested or required by management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must have smart cell phone with email, data, and GPS location available.
