Fresh Start Foods is currently hiring Full-Time (Permanent) Food Processing Team Members who are eager to work in a fast paced team oriented work environment at our Milton, Ontario location. Position: Full Time, Permanent Salary: $19/h - Weekly Pay Schedule: Sun-Friday, Saturdays off and one day off during the week Hours: 8am-5pm (Sunday are Mandatory) We Provide Our Team Members: Annual Profit Sharing Bonus Health Care Benefit Program RRSP Program - Company Match Up To 3% Employee Purchase Program Employee Family Assistance Program Opportunities for career advancement Employee Recognition Programs Company-sponsored events (Family Picnic, Staff Celebration, BBQs) Training opportunities Annual Safety Boot Allowance Program Full-time hours Commitment to Safety Responsibilities: Support and work closely with the Sales Team to meet customers’ needs for new product development Prep and cook as needed to support testing and presentation needs for customers and at events Stay current with industry and culinary trends, with a view to sourcing and/or developing new products Design and maintain a cost analysis system to recognize and quantify development costs; create a system for budgeting new products profitability Coordinate internal item set up with all related departments Design and maintain an ongoing tracking system to measure new product sales and profitability Create and develop a system to review new products quarterly and systematically review items for SKU rationalization to support our strategic growth Successfully bring a determined amount of new products to market annually Innovative product development and seasonal item creation in line with our capabilities and capacities Performs other duties and project management and company related duties as required. Requirements: Strong culinary knowledge and skill; safe food handling practices; self motivated, creative and detail oriented Experience in the food service or retail industry, ideally with previous product development and project management experience Ability to develop creative food solutions Exceptional customer service skills Ability to communicate in writing and verbally; and skill in presentation creation, engagement and delivery Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects Strong business acumen and understanding of restaurant operations Proven ability to deliver results and facilitate a collaborative environment Familiarity with Quality Assurance and Food Safety standards in a Manufacturing environment This is an Existing Vacancy We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for the next stage will be contacted.
