About the team The Manager I, Mortgage Operations, Post Closing leads a team responsible for reviewing completed mortgage loan files, resolving post-closing defects, and ensuring that loans meet investor, secondary market, and regulatory requirements prior to sale or delivery. About the role - Lead a post-closing operations team that reviews closed loan files for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to investor, secondary-market, and regulatory requirements before delivery. - Establish, monitor, and refine standard operating procedures, quality controls, and performance metrics to reduce post-closing defects and rework. - Partner with internal stakeholders (such as Closing, Underwriting, Secondary Marketing, and Compliance) to resolve documentation issues, cure deficiencies, and address exceptions in a timely manner. - Analyze post-closing pipeline, exception trends, and audit findings to identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and support implementation of changes that enhance efficiency and loan salability. - Train, coach, and develop team members on post-closing requirements, controls, and best practices, fostering a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement. This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at the Zillow India office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Zillow has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute. Who you are - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. - 6+ years of experience in mortgage operations or related mortgage fulfillment functions (such as closing, post closing, quality control, or secondary operations), including at least 2 years in a leadership or people management role. - Experience working with investor or secondary market delivery requirements and mortgage documentation standards. - Experience leading process improvements or quality initiatives within mortgage operations. - Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
