About You:

We're looking for someone who is passionate about education, confident in their Accounting knowledge and enjoys making complex concepts easy to understand.

You'll be a supportive and adaptable educator who can connect with students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds, encourage curiosity and create a learning environment where students feel confident to participate and succeed.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous teaching experience at secondary or tertiary level, ideally within Accounting or a related subject area.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and other core accounting concepts.

  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons and communicate technical information in a clear and accessible way.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

  • A flexible and student-centred approach to teaching, with the ability to support different learning styles and abilities.

  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine commitment to supporting student achievement.

  • Experience teaching or working with international students would be advantageous.

  • Current Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand registration is preferred. Candidates holding a Limited Authority to Teach (LAT) will also be considered.

  • Experience, qualifications or subject knowledge in other Business-related areas, such as Economics, Finance, Business Studies, Management or related disciplines, would be advantageous, particularly for candidates who are comfortable contributing to the delivery of additional subjects where required.
