BOM Controller.

FULL TIMEFINANCE & LEGAL

We are looking for a highly organised, detail-focused and proactive BOM Controller to join our team at the AMR Technology Campus in Silverstone.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our engineering and manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate and timely management of Bill of Material (BOM) data across our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Working closely with the Lead BOM Controller, Engineering, Project Planning, Production and Procurement teams, you will help ensure our product structures are accurate, controlled and ready to support the demands of the business. As BOM Controller, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely transfer, creation and maintenance of BOM data, ensuring engineering changes are implemented effectively, and product structures meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality.

  • Process Design Office release orders from PLM into the ERP system within one working day, in line with business priorities.
  • Create, validate and maintain accurate Part Master data for components and assemblies.
  • Maintain and control BOMs, ensuring all parts are correctly configured and structured within business systems.
  • Interpret and process Release Orders, including part additions, deletions, quantity changes, corrections and effective date updates.
  • Support the departmental target of achieving 98% right-first-time BOM accuracy.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Design Office and Operations to improve BOM quality, consistency and clarity.
  • Provide guidance and support on BOM processes and best practices.
  • Monitor data quality, identify inconsistencies and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping enhance processes and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Provide accurate BOM status updates and technical input during meetings.
  • Strong working knowledge of Bill of Material structures within planning and manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with production ERP systems in a high-pressure manufacturing environment.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Experience with SAP, IFS, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Epicor would be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple departments.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Confidence working under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams and Word.
  • A flexible, positive and collaborative attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement and Health & Safety.
Investing in your career is paramount. We promote professional and personal development through a provision of learning opportunities and work with you to shape your career and realise your full potential.

As part of our high-performing, collaborative team, you'll enjoy a competitive package, including a discretionary bonus scheme, private healthcare, pension plan, life assurance, TEDSgroup childcare benefits, a cycle-to-work scheme, tech scheme, and car scheme.

You will also have access to our state-of-the-art facilities at the AMR Technology Campus, featuring a new on-site gym with fitness, spin and yoga classes, a bistro café, and restaurant.
