Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook meals in accordance with aged care dietary requirements, menu plans, and resident preferences. Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized kitchen environment in line with food safety standards. Ensure special diets (texture-modified, diabetic, allergen-free) are accurately prepared and served. Storing food in temperature controlled facilities Collaborate with dietitians and facility staff to ensure meal quality and compliance with care plans. Supervise and mentor kitchen assistants or food service staff when required. Participate in stock ordering, rotation, menu planning and waste management. You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: Relevant qualification as a Cook (Minimum requirement, Certificate 3 Commercial Cookery) Significant experience in commercial cooking. A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective resident care and management.
