POSITION OVERVIEW: This position is primary contact for a specific customer/product and as such coordinates activities and tasks managed by various departments or functions (Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production, etc.) The position will provide management services between operations and customer facing departments. PM responsibility may also include technical research with Engineering to ensure MPG Salisbury compliance and ability. Essential Functions: Manages the project budget and successfully executes the overall project by influencing and consensus rather than having direct report authority. Engage with various team members and lead interdepartmental coordination to resolve issues impacting product delivery Ensures transition to manufacturing, tracking and reporting schedules and cost to the customer. Establishes quality and process performance objectives. Establishes agreements with the suppliers/subcontractors and tracks their costs, schedule and technical progress. Set project direction and make decisions with the Product Line Manager where customer, technical, cost and schedule tradeoffs are considered Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
