Role Overview

The business rates team is a very successful division within Colliers with a business development team focussed on outreach to prospects across the country. The Strategic Partnership Director leads on client relationship management and formal business development activities for the department and requires functional support beyond that of a more traditional administrative role.

The Business Development Executive will play a pivotal role in supporting the Director with business development and bid activities, including supporting work required for client meetings and presentations, collating and creating content for tender submissions, working with the CRM platform, supporting research tasks for new opportunities and working with the Director to evolve marketing and communications content and refresh the library for bids, pitches, and tenders. This is a hands-on role and we are looking for a collaborative approach, creative design and AI platform skills and strong ability to work with “virtual” teams and independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drafting Proposals and Presentations Material (PPT, HTML, Other)
    • Supporting the business teams in their formal and informal pitching activities, and presentations and providing guidance on best practice.
    • Collate draft content for Director(s) to further shape based on client and market insights. Create visually appealing and impactful presentations for both client proposals and internal meetings.
    • Collaborate with the Director to ensure content aligns with client needs and strategic objectives, is on-brand and is relevant/bespoke to each client.
    • Be part of core support team for major proposals or presentations, joining meetings with colleagues to understand and translate potential content, review material and response requirements and update as needed.
    • Continuously improve presentation templates and materials to maintain high standards of quality and professionalism.
    • Work with the Director to evolve the content library for bids, pitches and tenders, ensuring materials are well-organised, accessible, and regularly updated.
  2. Collating Content for Tender Submissions
    • Review tender submission requirements and manage the deadlines/process for response.
    • Gather and organise existing information to create baseline tender submissions which can then be further shaped by respective Director(s).
    • Collaborate with the Senior Director to ensure content aligns with client needs and strategic objectives, remains on-brand for Colliers and is relevant/ bespoke to each client.
    • Ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and tailored to meet the specific requirements of each tender.
    • Work closely with any other required departments to obtain necessary information, certificates and insights.
  3. Supporting Research and Administrative Tasks
    • Conduct market research required by Director into specific clients or sectors, from existing sources or data within Colliers platforms, or web-based research.
    • Assist in the preparation of reports and summaries to support business development strategies and decision-making.
    • Provide some administrative support, including updating Salesforce CRM platform and organising documentation.
    • Assist in the coordination of some partnership activities and initiatives – small events or attendance by Colliers at hosted events.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in executive support, marketing or a related field.
  • Proven experience in supporting business development or sales, or a similar role.
  • Intermediate/advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint and/or other presentation tools.
