Built on an open, modular, cloud-native architecture, Sabre serves as the backbone for both established leaders and bold, new disruptors, guiding them to the next age of travel retailing through intelligent, connected, and personalized experiences. With AI at its core and operating at unparalleled scale, Sabre transforms insights into innovation, empowering airlines, hoteliers, agencies and other partners to retail, distribute and fulfill travel worldwide. Role Overview This role will own the product vision for simplifying and automating how schedule changes are identified, evaluated, communicated, and resolved, helping airlines reduce manual servicing while delivering a better traveller experience. The Senior Product Manager will work across airline operations, reservations, servicing, reaccommodation, notifications, digital channels, and partner ecosystems to build scalable capabilities that support airlines with different business models, workflows, and levels of automation. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Ownership Define how the product evolves from manual and rules-based servicing towards increasingly automated, intelligent, and self-service schedule change management. Translate airline operational challenges and traveller needs into clear product requirements, features, and measurable outcomes. Prioritise investments based on customer value, operational impact, strategic alignment, and technical feasibility. Schedule Change & Airline Servicing Expertise Develop solutions covering the end-to-end schedule change lifecycle, including: Detection and classification of itinerary changes.Assessment of impacted passengers and itineraries.Airline policies and reaccommodation rules.Identification and presentation of alternative flights.Automated and agent-assisted reaccommodation.Traveller notification and acceptance.Digital self-service.Ticketing and servicing considerations.Handling of ancillary products and associated services.Interline and partner-airline scenarios.Exceptions requiring manual intervention. Partner with adjacent product areas such as DCS, reservations, disruption management/IROPs, retailing, customer servicing, notifications, and airport solutions. Customer & Market Leadership Engage directly with airline customers to understand current workflows, pain points, requirements, and desired business outcomes. Serve as a product subject-matter expert in customer discussions, workshops, demonstrations, and roadmap reviews. Monitor airline industry trends and evolving expectations around automated servicing and traveller self-service. Balance individual airline requirements with the development of scalable product capabilities. Execution & Delivery Work closely with engineering, architecture, UX, operations, and other product teams to translate strategy into executable product increments. Develop clear epics, requirements, acceptance criteria, and business priorities. Make product trade-offs across customer demand, technical complexity, operational risk, and strategic value. Manage dependencies with upstream and downstream airline systems and product teams. Partner with delivery teams throughout development, testing, rollout, and adoption. Commercial & Business Outcomes Build business cases for product investment and clearly articulate expected customer and business value. Define and track product success measures such as: Schedule changes resolved automatically.Reduction in manual servicing.Traveller self-service adoption.Time to resolution.Contact-centre/agent workload reduction.Customer adoption and satisfaction. Support commercial teams with product positioning, customer proposals, and strategic opportunities. Required Qualifications Significant product management experience, preferably within airline technology, travel technology, reservations, passenger servicing, disruption management, or airline operations. Strong understanding of airline passenger servicing and itinerary management. Experience defining product strategy and managing complex, cross-functional roadmaps. Ability to translate complicated airline workflows and business rules into scalable technology solutions. Experience working with engineering and architecture teams on highly integrated enterprise products. Strong customer-facing skills, including discovery, workshops, requirements discussions, and executive presentations. Demonstrated ability to prioritise competing customer, commercial, operational, and technology requirements. Strong analytical skills and ability to use data and customer insights to guide product decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with airline reservations/PSS, schedule change, reaccommodation, IROPs, ticketing, or passenger servicing. Knowledge of airline distribution and servicing concepts, including PNRs, segments, ticketing and EMDs. Understanding of interline and codeshare servicing scenarios. Familiarity with modern airline retailing concepts, including Offers and Orders, would be beneficial. Experience building highly automated or rules-driven airline servicing products. Experience with airline digital self-service and customer notification journeys. Experience managing products operating at significant transaction scale and requiring high availability. What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will make Schedule Change progressively simpler, more automated, and more customer-friendly. They will help move airlines away from labour-intensive servicing towards capabilities that can intelligently identify impacted travellers, apply airline policies, offer appropriate alternatives, automate routine scenarios, enable traveller self-service, and direct agents towards the exceptions that genuinely require human intervention. Ultimately, the role will deliver measurable value across three dimensions: better traveller experiences, lower airline servicing costs, and greater operational efficiency. Ideal Candidate This person combines airline domain expertise, strong product leadership, and customer empathy. They are comfortable moving from a detailed conversation about servicing rules or reaccommodation logic to an executive discussion about automation, customer experience, revenue protection, and operating cost. They don't simply manage a backlog. They understand the problem, define where the product should go, and bring customers, technology teams, and business stakeholders together to get there. We will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria. You will receive separate notification as your application progresses. Please note that only candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role will proceed in the selection process. #LI-Hybrid#LI-BG1 Reasonable Accommodation Sabre is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to applicants with disabilities.
