We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our hotel team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service while managing all front desk operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure, ensuring a positive first and last impression
- Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently using the property management system
- Manage reservations, modifications, and cancellations with accuracy and attention to detail
- Handle guest inquiries and requests promptly, providing information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records for all transactions
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and messages to appropriate departments or staff members
- Resolve guest concerns and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary
- Maintain security protocols, including key management and access control procedures
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Keep the front desk area organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary materials
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or security concerns to management
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and record-keeping
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a hospitality or hotel setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with computer systems and basic software applications
- Professional demeanor with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Experience with property management systems (PMS) or hotel reservation software
- Previous front desk or guest services experience
- Knowledge of hotel operations and amenities
- Experience with conflict resolution and guest complaint handling
