Position Summary

As our first Account Executive in Europe, you will play a pivotal role in building and growing our presence across the European market. This is an opportunity to take significant ownership of our European sales efforts, drive market development, and make a meaningful impact on the company's growth trajectory.

As an individual contributor but with an eye towards sales leadership, you will own your sales pipeline, manage the full sales cycle, and be accountable for achieving your revenue targets. Beyond closing business, you'll help shape our approach to the European market, identify new opportunities, build lasting client relationships, and establish the foundations for a scalable sales organization.

We believe great sales starts with consultative conversations, a genuine understanding of customer needs, and the ability to build meaningful, long-term partnerships. You'll thrive in an environment where not everything is already defined, where initiative and autonomy are essential, and where you have the opportunity to influence how we grow.

This role is ideal for someone energized by ownership, doing hard things, motivated by measurable results, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and excited by the opportunity to help build something from the ground up. While you'll have significant autonomy and accountability, you'll also be an important part of a collaborative team, contributing to our collective success.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales and business development at a top engineering technology or other market leading company.
  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a technical specialization (business, applied sciences, engineering, information technology)
  • Sales experience in the utility or engineering technology industries, preferably electrical transmission and distribution.
  • Effective networking and relationship management skills, with existing working relationships at power delivery utilities
  • Motivated team player with the ability to operate independently and take initiative to grow our business
  • Professional working proficiency in English at least one other language (Spanish, German, French, Portuguese), with the ability to lead client workshops, facilitate technical discussions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.

Role/Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation & Qualification: Identify and generate new business opportunities through various channels. Evaluate and qualify leads to ensure they fit the company's ideal customer profile
  • Sales Presentations & Demonstrations: Conduct compelling sales presentations and work with the technical team presenting product demonstrations to prospective clients
  • Relationship Building & Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies and campaigns to meet revenue targets and business objectives. Conduct market research to understand trends and competitive landscape
  • Account Management: Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals, to managing the implementation process and identifying opportunities for upselling.
  • Customer Feedback & Product Improvement: Gather feedback from clients about product improvements or expansions and communicate it to the product development and marketing teams
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions and sales activities,
  • Negotiation & Contract Management: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company policies and objectives.
  • Performance Reporting: Generate and analyze sales reports to track performance against targets,
  • Travel and Events: Be willing to travel extensively, attend conferences, client meetings and industry events

One of our core differentiators is the experience and support our clients receive. The successful candidate is uniquely qualified to leverage cross-functional teams (marketing, product development and infrastructure), have a strong interest in complex enterprise software sales, working with regulated businesses, and ready to learn about their common buying processes and challenges. This position is meant for those seeking to join an early-stage company and be compensated with long term equity-based incentives in addition to base salary and commission.

While this is a fully remote position, Account Executives are expected to travel globally for on-site customer meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, networking functions, and internal corporate events. The successful candidate can expect approximately 50% travel annually which may not be evenly distributed.

This position is open to candidates located anywhere in Europe, however you must be located within a reasonable distance of a major international airport.

What we offer:

  • Fully remote work from your home office in Europe.
  • Flexible working arrangement and collaboration across an international team
  • Autonomy, meaningful responsibility, and opportunities to grow with a scaling enterprise software company.
  • Stock options (subject to applicable plan terms) so you can realize the value created with your work in the organization.
  • The opportunity to work at the intersection of utility engineering, analytics, and AI, helping customers make better decisions about critical energy infrastructure.
  • Competitive compensation package including benefits.

Employment and Eligibility:

  • Employment for this position will be administered through an Employer of Record (EOR) partner, subject to the applicable employment arrangement.
  • We welcome applications from qualified candidates of all backgrounds and are committed to an inclusive, respectful, and equitable hiring process.
