Pricing & Margin Management Analyst.

FULL TIMEREMOTEFINANCE & LEGAL$97K–125K/MO

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pricing & Margin Management Analyst based in the United States.

As a Pricing & Margin Management Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing pricing strategies, profitability, and business growth within the mortgage lending industry. You will work at the intersection of pricing, capital markets, sales, and finance, using data-driven insights to support strategic decisions. Through market analysis, financial modeling, and competitive benchmarking, you will identify opportunities to improve margins and strengthen market positioning. You will also develop reporting tools, monitor pricing performance, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership. This role offers the opportunity to influence business performance directly while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Accountabilities

    • Pricing & Market Analysis: Monitor key market indicators, including Treasury and swap rates, SOFR, whole-loan buyer bids, securitization spreads, cost of funds, and warehouse financing costs. Analyze rate sheet pricing across loan characteristics and recommend pricing adjustments to improve competitiveness and profitability.

    • Margin Management: Maintain and analyze the margin waterfall from initial rate sheet pricing through realized loan execution. Compare target and actual margins across products, channels, brokers, and account executives, identify margin leakage, and recommend improvements to pricing policies and processes.

    • Pricing Analytics & Reporting: Build and maintain pricing and margin dashboards using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau. Analyze loan volume, pull-through rates, fallout trends, pricing tiers, and channel performance. Conduct pricing tests and assess their impact on profitability and business growth.

    • Broker Pricing & Competitive Intelligence: Collaborate with Sales and executive leadership to develop performance-based broker pricing tiers. Evaluate broker and channel economics, monitor competitor offerings, benchmark market positioning, and use win/loss analysis and broker feedback to explain changes in business volume.

    • Pricing Governance: Prepare monthly reports covering pricing concessions, exceptions, trends, and margin impact. Document pricing methodologies and rate sheet adjustments, support fair lending monitoring, and coordinate with pricing technology administrators to validate and implement pricing changes.

    • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning, connecting pricing and volume assumptions to overall financial performance. Support monthly financial close, variance analysis, management reporting, board presentations, and investor and warehouse lender reporting.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Respond to analytical requests from Finance and executive leadership, contribute to strategic initiatives, and provide clear recommendations that support informed business decisions.

    • Requirements

      • Professional Experience: 3–5 years of experience in mortgage pricing, secondary marketing, capital markets analytics, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or a similar quantitative role within a lending institution or investment firm.

      • Industry Knowledge: Working knowledge of non-qualified mortgage (non-QM) and debt service coverage ratio (DSCR) lending, including pricing adjustments, prepayment penalties, and loan execution dynamics.

      • Financial Expertise: Strong understanding of gain-on-sale, basis points, spreads, cost of funds, and margin waterfall analysis.

      • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency, including the ability to build complex financial and analytical models. Experience using SQL or equivalent tools to independently extract, organize, and analyze loan-level data.

      • Analytical Abilities: Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify trends, evaluate business opportunities, and translate complex data into practical recommendations.

      • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present pricing strategies and analytical findings clearly to executive leadership and commercial teams.

      • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pricing technologies such as LoanPASS, Polly, Optimal Blue, or similar platforms. Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau dashboard development, and Python or R for data analysis.

      • Additional Assets: Exposure to whole-loan trading or non-QM securitization is highly desirable. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred.

      • Benefits

        • Competitive Salary: Annual salary ranging from $97,000 to $125,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and relevant expertise.

        • Remote Work: Remote opportunities available in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Utah.

        • Professional Growth: Opportunities to contribute to meaningful financial and strategic initiatives while developing expertise in mortgage pricing and capital markets.

        • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside experienced professionals across Finance, Sales, Capital Markets, and executive leadership.

        • Career Development: Exposure to complex financial models, pricing strategies, investor reporting, and business performance optimization.
