Product Manager - Market Product (MISO + IESO).

FULL TIMEREMOTEPRODUCT$140K–150K/YR

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager – Market Product (MISO + IESO) based in Canada.

The Product Manager will drive the development and success of market products across the MISO and IESO electricity markets, helping unlock the value of distributed energy resources. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and performance metrics, translating complex market requirements and customer needs into scalable product solutions. Working closely with market leaders, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders, you will guide initiatives from opportunity identification through implementation and measurable business impact. Your work will directly influence revenue growth, margins, customer retention, and the reliability of market operations. This role combines product strategy, technical collaboration, and energy market analysis in a fast-moving environment focused on building a cleaner and more sustainable energy future. The position is fully remote, with working hours aligned to a US-based time zone.

Accountabilities

As part of the Market Product Team, you will lead product initiatives across MISO and IESO, ensuring that solutions deliver meaningful business outcomes while meeting customer, operational, and market commitments. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Own the product vision, roadmap, success criteria, and performance metrics for MISO and IESO market products.

    • Lead product development priorities for upcoming MISO and IESO launches, ensuring successful delivery and measurable results.

    • Partner with market leaders to identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities that support business objectives.

    • Communicate product strategy, priorities, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders across the organization.

    • Collaborate with engineering managers and technical leads to define product requirements and coordinate ongoing initiatives and workstreams.

    • Develop investment theses based on customer needs, electricity market mechanics, and commercial objectives.

    • Validate product hypotheses and assumptions through research, analysis, and testing of market rules, user requirements, and system behavior.

    • Translate complex market and operational requirements into clear, actionable product decisions.

    • Ensure product solutions are operationally viable, adequately supported, and aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements.

    • Coordinate across product, engineering, market operations, and other teams to ensure solutions maximize financial returns while meeting commitments to customers and electricity markets.

    • Requirements

The ideal candidate is a product professional with strong analytical and technical capabilities, able to navigate complex market requirements and turn them into practical business solutions. You should be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

      • 2–3 years of experience in product management or a comparable role involving product development.

      • Ability to interpret market rules and tariffs directly and understand complex calculations, including baselines and performance calculations.

      • Energy industry experience is an advantage; candidates without it should be able to quickly develop fluency in electricity market structures and mechanics.

      • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to review specifications and engage in detailed discussions with engineering teams.

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly to different audiences.

      • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to combine qualitative and quantitative information into business cases and actionable product decisions.

      • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.

      • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to align stakeholders around product objectives and delivery priorities.

      • Work authorization: Candidates must already be legally authorized to work from their home location in the United States or Canada. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available.

      • Remote work requirements: The role is fully remote, but employees are expected to work primarily from their home country. International work while traveling requires prior approval under the applicable remote travel policy.

      • Benefits

        • Salary: USD 140,000–150,000 per year.

        • Fully remote work arrangement, with flexibility to work from anywhere within eligible locations.

        • Opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative energy market products and distributed energy resource solutions.

        • Work alongside cross-functional teams spanning product, engineering, market operations, and energy markets.

        • Opportunity to influence product strategy, business growth, and the transition toward cleaner, more reliable electricity.

        • Inclusive and equal-opportunity working environment.
