Senior Network Engineer.

FULL TIMEREMOTESENIOR LEVELDEVOPS & INFRA$75K–110K/YR

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Network Engineer based in the United States.

This is an opportunity for an experienced network engineering professional to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade networking and security solutions in a fully remote environment. You will drive complex SD-WAN and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) deployments, helping organizations modernize their infrastructure and strengthen network security. Working with leading technologies, you will architect resilient, cloud-first solutions that support distributed workforces and global connectivity. As a senior technical contributor, you will also mentor engineers, guide network transformation projects, and serve as an escalation point for challenging technical issues. The role combines hands-on engineering, strategic problem-solving, and collaboration across managed services teams to maintain exceptional service reliability.

Accountabilities:

    • Lead SD-WAN architecture and design for enterprise clients, developing scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions.

    • Design, deploy, configure, and manage SASE solutions using Cato Networks, Fortinet, Versa Networks, and Cisco Meraki technologies.

    • Implement and manage Cato SASE Cloud Platform solutions, including secure global networking and Zero Trust Network Access.

    • Configure and optimize Fortinet Secure SD-WAN and SASE environments, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiSASE.

    • Deploy Versa Unified SASE solutions integrating SD-WAN, security, and cloud access capabilities.

    • Manage Cisco Meraki cloud-based networking and security solutions, including MX, MS, and MR products with integrated SD-WAN.

    • Design secure remote-access architectures for distributed workforces and implement Zero Trust security models across SASE deployments.

    • Integrate unified communications solutions, including MetaSwitch platforms, with enterprise network infrastructure.

    • Lead network transformation initiatives, migrating legacy architectures toward modern SASE and SD-WAN solutions.

    • Conduct network assessments and develop cloud-first transformation strategies aligned with client requirements.

    • Provide advanced engineering support, troubleshoot complex issues, and act as a technical escalation point for dedicated support teams.

    • Mentor and support other managed services engineers through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and best-practice development.

    • Develop network automation scripts and procedures to improve operational efficiency and consistency.

    • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and training materials.

    • Collaborate with internal support teams to maintain service reliability and meet 100% uptime SLA objectives.

    • Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational success.

    • Requirements:

      • 7–10 years of enterprise network engineering experience, preferably within managed services or MSP environments.

      • Strong SD-WAN architecture and design expertise, with a proven track record of successful enterprise deployments.

      • Advanced knowledge of SASE and SD-WAN technologies, particularly:

        • Cato Networks SASE Cloud Platform.

        • Fortinet FortiGate, FortiManager, and FortiSASE.

        • Versa Networks Unified SASE Platform.

        • Cisco Meraki full-stack technologies, including MX, MS, and MR, with SD-WAN.

        • Deep understanding of SASE architecture and its core components, including ZTNA, CASB, SWG, and FWaaS.

        • Strong network security expertise, including next-generation firewalls, intrusion prevention and detection systems, and Zero Trust architectures.

        • Proficiency in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, along with enterprise switching technologies.

        • Experience with cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and GCP, including multi-cloud connectivity.

        • Familiarity with UCaaS platforms, particularly MetaSwitch.

        • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and develop technical capabilities across a team.

        • Solid understanding of Quality of Service (QoS), traffic shaping, and WAN optimization.

        • Network automation experience using Python, Ansible, or comparable tools.

        • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and network programmability.

        • Strong troubleshooting capabilities, including experience with packet capture and network analysis tools.

        • Relevant industry certifications are highly desirable, including CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Cisco Meraki, Versa, or Cato certifications.

        • Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with clients and internal stakeholders.

        • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

        • Must reside in one of the following eligible U.S. states: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
