Sr Data Analyst - Product Configuration.

FULL TIMEREMOTESENIOR LEVELDATA & ML$80K–107.8K/YR

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Data Analyst - Product Configuration based in the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst specializing in Product Configuration to support and optimize product data management and configuration systems. In this role, you will oversee product and pricing data accuracy, manage catalog updates, and ensure the reliability of configuration tools across multiple product categories and distribution channels. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to product launches, pricing updates, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also help strengthen data governance, identify systemic risks, and improve the scalability and maintainability of configuration processes. Partnering with technical and business stakeholders, you will support AI-assisted validation and automation while maintaining high data quality standards. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex initiatives, share technical expertise, and contribute to an exceptional customer experience.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will manage product configuration systems, maintain accurate product information, and drive improvements in data quality, operational efficiency, and system performance. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support and maintain product configurators, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and consistency across all systems.

  • Collaborate with Category Management, Revenue Growth Management, Customer Care, and Fabrication teams to develop new catalog offerings and implement product and pricing updates.

  • Manage product configuration changes, including new product introductions, product discontinuations, distributor-specific offerings, and pricing adjustments.

  • Conduct thorough regression testing of system releases to identify issues and ensure configuration accuracy.

  • Protect data integrity by preventing temporary fixes or compensating logic that could compromise scalability, consistency, or long-term system maintainability.

  • Identify systemic risks related to product data quality, translation complexity, and dependencies across interconnected systems.

  • Establish documentation, standards, and processes that reduce reliance on individual knowledge and support consistent configuration practices.

  • Partner with AI Enablement leadership to ensure AI-assisted validation and automation solutions align with established product data standards.

  • Provide technical expertise as the product configuration representative on cross-functional projects and initiatives.

  • Lead complex projects while effectively balancing ongoing operational responsibilities and competing priorities.

  • Document workflows and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize configuration processes and enhance the overall customer experience.

  • Coach and support team members, sharing specialized knowledge and serving as a trusted subject matter expert.

  • Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with hands-on experience in product configuration, product lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration. You should demonstrate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in the building materials industry, with exposure to different market segments, distribution channels, and configurable products.

  • 5+ years of experience with product development lifecycles, preferably within consumer goods or durable goods industries.

  • 5+ years of experience working with software systems and product configuration tools.

  • Strong understanding of product data management, catalog structures, pricing information, and configuration processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to or lead cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, adapt to changing priorities, and respond effectively to evolving business needs.

  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Benefits

  • Annual base salary ranging from $80,000 to $107,800, depending on qualifications, experience, location, and other relevant factors.

  • Eligibility for an annual performance-based bonus or role-specific sales incentive plan.

  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits.

  • Competitive retirement savings plan with employer contributions through a market-leading 401(k) program.

  • Employee discounts on company products.

  • Flexible paid time off benefits.

  • Adoption benefits and additional family support programs.

  • Access to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) promoting inclusion, collaboration, and a sense of belonging.

  • A supportive work environment focused on innovation, professional development, and employee well-being.
