We are seeking a safety-minded Field Service Technician near Toccoa, GA. We are looking for you! Compensation: $28.00/hr (Plus overtime availability) Schedule: Monday-Friday Shift: 7:00 AM start time Service area: Within a 150-mile radius of Toccoa, GA Comprehensive Family Benefits: Airgas offers a full benefits package designed to support your whole life, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance Support for Parents: We offer up to a 14-week paid childbirth benefit to support growing families. Future Security: 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick time. Early Access: Your benefits start after just 30 days of employment About the Role Airgas is a global leader in industrial gases, and our Field Service Technicians play a vital role in keeping our customers' beverage and gas systems running reliably. While our route drivers focus on delivering and refilling CO2 microbulk tanks, Field Service Technicians are responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and removing the bulk storage tanks and beverage carbonation systems on-site. This is not a delivery route driving job. Although technicians operate commercial service vehicles such as F-550s or box trucks requiring a Class A or B CDL, driving is primarily how technicians travel between customer jobs across a broad geographic territory. Key Responsibilities Installation & Mechanics: Perform hands-on mechanical work using hand tools, power tools, and drills to run lines, install centralized Microbulk cryogenic tanks, set up gas monitors, and mount control boxes at commercial customer sites like restaurants, bars, and stadiums. Note: The company provides all necessary tools, drills, and lines. Maintenance & Emergency Service: Respond to service calls, troubleshoot gas line or tank issues, perform system inspections, and replace faulty equipment to minimize downtime for the customer. Physical Work: The job involves physical tasks such as maneuverability on ladders, running tubing through ceiling tiles, drilling into structures, and using specialized hand trucks to maneuver large stainless steel tanks. Autonomy & Schedule Flexibility: Technicians operate with a high degree of independence. You must be self-motivated, trainable, adaptable to shifting daily schedules, and willing to travel (including occasional overnight stays depending on the territory needs). ________________________ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications: Must hold a Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement No more than 2 traffic convictions or at-fault accidents within the last 3 years. No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last 7 years. Ability to work in a drug-free environment. 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years OR a Certificate of Completion from a trucking school (completed in the last 12 months). Preferred Qualifications: CO2 or any specialty gas experience is a plus, but not required. We will train! ________________________ Benefits We care about and support our Airgas Families. This is evident not only through our competitive compensation but also through a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision plans, short-term and long-term disability, life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), pre-tax commuter transportation benefit, parental leave, vacation, sick time, floating holidays, jury duty and funeral/bereavement leave, and paid holidays for all eligible full-time employees. Additionally, we offer our eligible employees a 401k plan with company matching funds, tuition reimbursement, discounted college tuition for eligible employees’ dependents, and an Airgas Scholarship Program for dependent children. Associates who are members of collective bargaining units should review their bargaining agreement to determine whether they are eligible for some or all of the benefits described here and to see any special terms or conditions for eligibility. _________________________ Your DIFFERENCES enhance our PERFORMANCE At Airgas, we are committed to building a workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.
