CAM Programmer.

ENGINEERING

Closing Date: Friday 13th November 2026

Fueled by bold ambition.

As a CAM Programmer you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and validating CNC programs to support ongoing production. Working closely with machinists and engineering teams, you will ensure that components are manufactured efficiently and to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical capability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Develop, modify, and optimise CNC programs for complex components, primarily for 5-axis milling machines.
  • Support weekend machining operations by troubleshooting and resolving programming or process issues.
  • Perform toolpath verification and simulation to ensure safe, efficient machining.
  • Collaborate with machinists to refine programs and improve cycle times and surface finishes.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications accurately.
  • Ensure all programs and setup documentation are correctly recorded and maintained.
  • Adhere to established programming standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide feedback to weekday programming and engineering teams to improve manufacturability and process efficiency.

Requirements

What do we need from you?

  • Proven experience as a CAM Programmer within a motorsport or high-performance engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CAM software, particularly HyperMill.
  • Solid understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and work holding.
  • Experience programming 5-axis CNC milling machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and CAD data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills for effective shift handovers and cross-team collaboration.
  • Comfortable working weekend shifts in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and relevant CAM software.
