The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in overseeing the branch's daily operations, ensuring efficient delivery of banking services to both corporate and individual customers. The role involves supervising branch staff, monitoring operational performance, supporting business development and sales activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and Central Bank of Iraq regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service while managing operational risks and ensuring the achievement of branch objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Branch Manager in managing and supervising daily branch operations.
Monitor staff performance, allocate responsibilities, and support team development.
Ensure efficient delivery of banking products and services to corporate and individual customers.
Support the achievement of branch business targets, sales objectives, and customer acquisition goals.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and Central Bank of Iraq regulations.
Monitor adherence to AML/CFT requirements and other regulatory standards.
Handle customer complaints and resolve operational issues in coordination with relevant departments.
Prepare and submit periodic operational and performance reports to the Branch Manager.
Identify operational risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Act on behalf of the Branch Manager when delegated or assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
5–7 years of banking experience, preferably including supervisory or branch management experience.
Good knowledge of retail and corporate banking products, services, and operations.
Understanding of banking regulations, Central Bank of Iraq instructions, AML/CFT requirements, and internal control procedures.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Good command of Microsoft Office and core banking systems.
Fluency in Arabic; good command of English.
