WeBuyVintage

Darlington

Junior Videographer – Social & Digital Content.

JUNIOR LEVEL£26K–28K/YR

About WeBuyVintage

WeBuyVintage is one of the UK’s largest buyers of jewellery, antiques and collectibles. We run more roadshows than any other UK company - over 250 valuation events every month - bringing trusted experts face-to-face with customers across the country.

In three years, we’ve grown from a pub-table idea into an eight-figure business, with a headcount thats grown from 30-100 in the last 2 years, we’re on a mission to make WeBuyVintage a brand everyone recognises.

The Role:
As we continue to grow, we’re looking to dramatically increase our volume of content across our social media and digital channels, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior Videographer to helpus capture the people, stories and moments that make WeBuyVintage what it is.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the start of their videography career who wants to gain hands-on experience capturing engaging content for a growing UK brand.

You'll spend much of your time out at our roadshows, capturing the atmosphere, our expert buyers, interesting items, valuation interactions, customer testimonials and behind-the-scenes moments that bring our business to life.

Working closely with our Social & Content Lead, you'll be given creative direction and guidance while developing your own filming skills, confidence and creative eye.

The majority of your work will be capturing short-form social content for platforms including Instagram and Facebook, with TikTok and YouTube also forming part of our future plans.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Capturing video content at our roadshows each week

  • Filming our buyers and appraisers at work - including valuations, interesting items and their expert knowledge.

  • Capturing the atmosphere and experience of our roadshows, from venue setup and customer arrivals to behind-the-scenes moments.

  • Identifying interesting stories, interactions and moments that could make engaging social media content.

  • Capturing customer testimonials and interviews, obtaining consent and helping people feel comfortable and confident on camera.

  • Capturing content for Instagram, Facebook and other social and digital platforms.

  • Working from shot lists, creative briefs and ideas provided by our Social & Content Lead.

  • Developing your own creative ideas and spotting opportunities to capture content beyond the original brief.

  • Using business-provided equipment, including iPhones / DJIs to capture high-quality footage.

  • Organising and uploading footage so it can be easily accessed and edited by our Social & Content Lead and in-house Editor.

Who We’re Looking For:

You’ll be great in this role if you have

  • Creative - naturally curious and able to spot interesting moments, people and stories.

  • Enthusiastic - genuinely interested in videography, filming and creating social media content.

  • Confident - comfortable approaching people, asking questions and capturing footage in busy environments.

  • Observant - able to recognise the moments that could make engaging content.

  • Organised - able to follow shot lists, manage footage and keep track of what needs capturing.

  • Proactive - happy to take initiative, suggest ideas and look for opportunities to get great footage.

  • Adaptable - comfortable working in different venues and responding to things happening in the moment.

  • Keen to learn - open to feedback and excited to develop your filming skills and creative confidence.

You don't need to have worked in the jewellery or antiques industry, and you don't need years of professional filming experience. What's more important is that you have a good eye for content, enjoy working with people and have a creative mindset with the enthusiasm to get out there, learn and capture great content.

Experience & Portfolio:

We're interested in seeing examples of your creativity and any experience you have capturing videos.

This could include:

  • Short-form social videos you've filmed (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)

  • Personal video projects or content you've created for your own social channels.

  • University, college or other creative projects.

  • Examples of interviews, talking-head videos or people-focused content.

  • Any experience using an iPhone, camera or other filming equipment to capture videos.

A professional portfolio isn't essential, but we'd love to see examples of what you've created.

What You’ll Get:

  • 4-day working week (Monday to Thursday)

  • Access to Bright Exchange - enjoy thousands of exclusive employee discounts and perks

  • Employee Assistance Programme - confidential, 24/7 support for you and your immediate family, covering work, personal, and home life matters

  • On-demand professional development - access to BrightHR’s online learning platform to build new skills and support your career progression

  • Competitive pay

  • Be part of a rapidly growing, friendly UK brand
